Twelve hours of gravel and stones, no path, just gravel and stones. You don´t know which are going to give away and which are going to stay.
At times it is so steep you have to crawl on your hands and knees.
I think the secret is to not ask yourself why you are doing it. It is just to take it when the pain sets in.

You realize pretty fast that this has nothing to do with mountains or altitude.
It is just one more step that followed the previous to keep you mind of those things that makes your head ache.
